KwaZulu-Natal Leaders for Life

Vision:

We would like to see reproducing disciples in the KwaZulu-Natal province who are striving to transform their communities and the world with the love of Christ. These men and women would have marriages and families that bring God honor and are an example in the church and community. They would empower others, not control them; they would be missional, not just “maintaining”; grace-driven, not legalistic; willing to work multiculturally and interdenominationally, not separatistic.

Missionaries:

Eric and Susan Binion, Brian and Joyce Flickner, Marcie Gustafson, Brett and Kara Richstone, Kit Tischler, Kyle and Shelly Schaefer, Ben and Beth Barthelomy, Stephen and Jessica Langley, Ryan and Amanda Burleson

Ministry Focus:

In the province of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, we are focused on leadership development through serving on the multicultural staff of two full-time Bible colleges, Union Bible Institute and Durban Bible College, as well as by partnering with ZEMA (Zion Evangelical Ministries of Africa) and the Zion Evangelical Bible School, a part-time school for leaders from amaZioni churches. In addition to classroom lectures, we enjoy mentoring students, joining them on ministry trips and visiting them where they live.

We also work with Child Evangelism Fellowship, discipling future leaders through Bible clubs and Sunday schools. HIV/AIDS ministry is also a significant part of our work. TEAM missionaries write AIDS-related materials, develop AIDS-related curriculum and teach it to pastors and church leaders, and train adults to teach character-based abstinence programs to young people.

As TEAM missionaries, we place a priority on relational discipleship--mentoring alumni, walking alongside children’s and youth workers, and encouraging untrained pastors. We envision taking seminars to outlying areas to reach more leaders who cannot come for full-time training. We also look forward to joining ZEMA in their student ministry as we have more personnel. Come join us!
